This month Alaina Boag (our location manager) completed her training with Cambridge Riding for the Disabled, and she is so excited to get started with such a fantastic team of volunteers.
As a voluntary, non-profit organisation, Cambridge Riding for the Disabled is dedicated to providing therapeutic horse riding for individuals with disabilities, supporting their physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being. The movement of the horse closely mimics the human walking gait, which can lead to meaningful physical improvements for riders.
Beyond that, the bond between horse and rider brings confidence, joy, and a sense of connection that’s hard to replicate elsewhere. Horses have always had a special place in Alaina’s life, so this feels like such a natural fit. She is genuinely looking forward to getting involved, being part of the team, and helping wherever she can.
